Whats EvilJack been up too?

Ok so I didn't feel like starting a whole bunch of diferent threads on what I have been up too so I will make just this one.

First off I installed my neon kit thursday night. And upon the final wire connection, I ripped the power wire right out of the power box. Now before you all get sad for me I didn't pay anything for this kit. Its a combination of two busted up kits to make one good kit. Its a temporary mod till I get my LED's in place. Plus I got a friend that is hooking me up with a new power box. For those intereseted its BLUE and GREEN. Green on the sides and blue front and rear.

Second I got my shift knob back. I ordered a custom shift knob similar to Shancopp's. It had a fitment issue. I kept it to show off at a couple of shows then sent it back to get "adjusted". During the adjustment period it cracked. So he made me a new one. This one is slightly different then the old one, which sucks because while its nice, I feel in love with the first one. I will probably be fine once I get used to the new one. Also I was modding part of my old shifter knob, the sleeve part. Well I kept test fitting it to the new knob, but not to the knob and the shifter boot and screwed that up too. Its still usable with the factory knob but not with the new knob. So if anyone has a factory five-speed shift knob they are not using and wanna hook me up let me know.

Third I removed my spoiler. I took it off because I am selling it. I will be replacing it with a new one, but thats all part of "Project Interceptor" which I will update later when I have the new spoiler. Let me tell you though. I do not like my xB with out the spoiler. Just doesn't look right.

And thats currently what I have been up too. So comments? Questions?

well sounds like a string of bad luck...power box, shift knob, other shift knob....I hope it turns around for ya soon. I'm really anxious to see what you're up to and your new shift knob. Did you take a pic of the first one he made ya?

As for your overall theme, I dont' know what you're doing, but can't wait to see it!
No I didn't take a picture. If I had known this was going to happen I would have. I kept hoping someone at the last VIP event would have snapped one of it but they didn't Or at least not to my knowledge.

My current project is going to be a very large undertaking. It can be done in steps. And for a bit its going to look unfinished. The largest of the mods will happen probably in april early may. Hopefully before next season starts. I definatly don't plan to have all the mods done by next season. Too much money and work ahead of me. However the selling of my spoiler pays for the new spoiler so its all good. I will update that thread as I get work done. I have photo shops of the look I am going for but I am holding off till I get closer. The current mods I am making are ones that will work with my car if I decided to back out of this project. I don't think I am going to but only time will tell. Thats kinda of why I am keeping it secret for now.

Hey EJ when you removed your spoiler is there holes and junk left over? Im selling mine and getting the "gangsta visor" but I want to know how much work its going to take to fix the holes which Im assuming there is.
Umm yeah there are holes. Four of them to be exact. Also be careful when pulling off your spoiler. Its also 3M taped down. If you pull on it wrong when you try and take it off you may elongate the holes. I did on one side of mine. Its because you can pull it straight off. For me its not a problem since I will be installing a new spoiler, but its the last thing you wanna do if your going spoiler free. Your best bet would be to try and find some sort of plug, or flat cap. Get it color matched and installed over the holes. The only other way to get rid of them is to have them welded shut and repainted. That will be very expensive. Or, buy a carbon fiber rearhatch.

Welded?! I cant just get a body shop to seal, sand and paint the paint? Hmm that sounds expensive. How big are the holes? Like the width of a pen?

Well yeah I guess you could have it bondo'd in as well. Actually that would probably be the easiest method.

Yeah and they are aobut the size of a pen

did the 3m tape leave any junk behind on the car?
