Besides backspacing, keep in mind that our xB has 16" wheels. 15" wheels or smaller will likely interfere with the brakes unless you use spacers.

Not only back spacing, watch out for center bore as well, I forget what are Xb is but gotta make sure you use hub centric rings or something to keep it centered when you bolt them up. I do know my TRD 19's bolt up to my Rx330 and the hubs match.
Currently running 2006 Mitsu EVO wheels. Perfect fit 17x8 +38
As noted above, you have to run hub centric rings
Huh, I had never heard of hub-centric rings before. I had to look them up. ...learn something new every day. :)

Shouldn't the lugs be centered on the hub too though? I assume the holes were milled by a CNC machine.
Motegi Forged Series Traklite II

Or you can buy these, they have hub rings & lug nuts. They are Fully Forged, CNC 17x8 w/ 45et and come in at 14.3 lbs. I had 245/45-17's mounted on them when they were on our 12 xB!
This photo shows them on my 07 MX-5.
