I have book thinking about getting some window rain guards on my xB, but I am wondering which kind is better?

There is the kind made by Auto Ventshade which sticks to the outer door frame using the 3M auto tape (these are cheaper). Then there is the kind made by WeatherTech which snaps in place outside of the glass frame (more money).

Those xB owners that have the rain guards already, can you tell me which kind you got, where you bought them from, and if you like them or if you have had problems with them?

I have the Weathertech ones. They fit in the channels and are of very good quality. I've had other brands in the past and prefer these to the others. The only alterations I did was to de-badge them and take a small mill file to de-burr a couple of small "ticks" on the exposed edge. Most people wouldn't even notice them until they snagged their drying towel.

Can't say which is better...but, I have the WeatherTech...snap in the channel. I like them, but there are some that tape on and look like they cover more...they look great as well.

I tend to agree with you...but, I've had "tape on" vents on my 2001 Ford F150 SuperCrew since it was new....without a problem.
At $59 for all four doors with free shipping the ones in question may be a good deal...versus the $105 for the WeatherTech. In a post several months back I did relate a problem with my driver's door vent coming loose...and the fix....still happy with my choice.

I have the window deflectors that are taped on and have no problems at all. I had them on my last vehicle for eight years with only one problem: one of the back ones broke during a hail storm. I chose the tape ones because you have to be able to lower your windows in the Texas heat, so window deflectors are a must; they were less expensive; they cover the whole back window; and they were a light smoke.
