08 XB in pretty decent shape with 72k on the odo.
Auto, HID's, TRD CAI, 16" wheels, and the usual standard equipment.

I plan on using this as my race scoot hauler weighing in less than 1k with trailer.

First upgrade. Meet zombie Steve.

Future mods:
Front window tint same as the back windows
Trailer hitch and wiring
Trans cooler
DF210's
18's
Helper springs
Subwoofer
Yakima rack
and possibly a header back exhaust system if it actually makes power and don't sound crazy loud.

Consider this my build thread :boxing:

Thanks.

We'll I have the hitch partially installed. Three of the six threaded holes were rusted so bad the threads were hanging. So I'm going to run a tap this evening and see if that helps. But yea hitch, harness, trailer, low springs, and some tint will be done by next Friday.

Thinking of leaving the wheels stock for awhile.

Still looking for my Yakima rack. Found them new for $365 shipped through moosejaw (I think) so I may just pony up and go that route.

Anyone make a set of spacers to flush out the back wheels? I can already see thats going to be a problem.

Ran the M12 x 1.25 tap through the holes and everything went together smooth.

Ended up getting the wrong wiring harness from ebay so I'm waiting for the right one.

Other than that my wife thinks I'm a nerd, and I love this car more than I thought was possible. She might be jealous.

How can I get more power out of this thing?
Do the exhaust do anything but make it louder?

She sure is!!

Power : Real HP costs good $$
There's the Descendant Turbo that is practically bolt-on and does some good HPs

If you want to stay Normally Aspirated, I suggest Intake, Headers, S-Pipe and Exhaust. There's the UniChip that may help too, but I'm don't have enough knowledge on it to be affirmative.
I went with the K&N Short Ram and the Tsudo Dual Fireball exhaust, I love 'em! Headers ans S-Pipe will eventually come.

The Flywheel and crank pulley may be changed for lighter ones, it frees the engine of some inertia so it'll rev faster. Make sure to buy reliable and good ones, you get what you pay for!

Aaannd, I'm off topic :p You might you to look in the performance section of the forums

I got my yakima from moosejaw then found my basket case and load warrior baskets on craigslist for dirt cheap.

spacer to get the rear flush should be 20mm depending on offset. My 18x7.5 +40 (maybe 48, cant remember) were flush with 20mm spacers.

for more power, adding a turbo is about the only way to get noticable gains. The best way to make it noisy is to add a short ram intake and an exhaust. I have the weapon R short ram and the tsudo dual exhaust and I love the tone, its brilliant. My buddy has a custom exhaust with a crazy extended tip that pops out the bumper and it also sounds awesome.

If you want to get crazy loud, add a resonator (scuba tank) delete. it will eliminate 1 cat and the resonator, which is that huge scuba tank lookin thing under the car along the exhaust.

the only issue with that is that it will be loud in the car too.

Thanks for the tips guys.

I like to keep my stuff uber quiet actually. It has the TRD CAI on it already and I was wondering if the TRD exhaust had any hp numbers to back it up or was just show. I figured it was just for looks but weirder things happen.

No turbo for me this is a very mild build. Compared to my 06 Accord K Series this thing is dog *** slow. But then again I knew that going into it. Funny thing is Toyota has the hp rated at more than the Honda in the specs...

I may play with the rotating mass later on down the line but my hope is to keep this thing OEM as possible. Ive said that before HAhahahaha.

The roof rack is something I can live without, mostly for looks. Waiting for that uber good deal to pop up out of nowhere.

Is it me or are the xb forums kinda slow? The scooter forums I frequent flat blow up daily. Just a observation.
