Okay I just need a straight forward answer. I've been to 2 dealerships and have gotten different anwers. I have a 2010 XB with the AXCL-W09U Alpine stereo. It says "Navigation Ready". What exactly do I need to make the Navi work.

1st dealership told me when I bought the car "Oh, the car is so new that the disc is not out yet" that was on May 9, 2010.

The 2nd dealership told me that the Alpine doesn't take a disc but needs to be activated by the dealership that sold me the car with an "SSD" card.

I went back to the 1st dealership, they never heard of a dvd based navi system. which is not what they told when I bought the car on May 9th.

If it is a dvd that i'm missing...was it supposed to come with the car? and can someone please provide me with the part #.

Thanks in advance to everyone that posts with any help.

Did you on line and see what Alpine says? Most sites have a contact section in them. That way you will know what you need to get the nav. sys. to work.

Hi gstspoolin, I'm by no means an expert on this, but:

I did a Google search on "AXCL-W09U Alpine " and found some links. On the first link I looked at, it says you'd need to buy an Alpine upgrade kit and that it's expensive. The poster gave the opinion it's cheaper to buy a separate navigation unit. In case you still want the Alpine upgrade kit, here's a link to the unit on TRD Sparks:

As noted elsewhere, Scream is selling his unit for much less than the list price.

This second link is about some folks adding a backup camara to this unit, you'll need a special cable to do it:

Good luck with your project!
